Tankerton & Whitstable FreeWheelin FEASTivals 2024
Back again for 2024! Slope off to Tankerton for a FreeWheelin FEASTival this summer and feed on the atmosphere of Zoom's vibrant family friendly event complete with wonderful views out across the North Sea. It's a mouth full of live music, children's comedy and fairground rides, liberal dispensation of libations from bars of distinction, superb street foods, quirky arts & crafts, gorgeous grocery foods for a most convivial convening of fun focused Feastivities.

- Children’s entertainer on Saturday and Sunday; walkabout and designated shows, with a variety of the following, comedy magic, puppet shows, bubbles and touchable bubbles (bubbles that don’t pop when you touch them), rocket balloons, balloon modelling, music and games. Website

First attested in The Book Of Fees for 1242, where it appears as Tangrenton, Tankerton is now famous for its colourful seaside chalets and more recently for the discovery of a Tudor era ship wreck in the intertidal mud flats on Tankerton beach with the most recent series of excavations taking place in July 2018 at low tides. Tankerton has a Blue Flag beach and a Seaside Award.
