Ramsgate has historic architecture, pretty streets, a sandy beach, and the only royal harbour in the United Kingdom thanks to George IV. Part of the Viking Coastal trail it has a rich maritime and fishing history which can be seen all around and at the Ramsgate Maritime Museum. Many water based activities can be booked locally and the Ramsgate Tunnels, Micro Museum, Spitfire and Hurricane Memorial Museum, offer further places to visit and things to do.
